Avaya Places Temporary Hold on 9600-Series
IP phone system giant Avaya has announced that it is placing a temporary hold on the sale of small and medium enterprise software version of Avaya 9608, Avaya 9621G, and Avaya 9641G IP desk phones.
According to Avaya, "Avaya SME resellers need to deploy our solutions in a minimum time to ensure customer satisfaction and also help them be profitable. Our past releases significantly improved this with our quick mode management tool, our single DVD install solution and more. The recently released version of the Avaya 9608, 9621G and 9641G phones running on IP Office, however, does not meet these standards. As such, Avaya is postponing the GA of the Avaya 9608, 9621G and 9641G IP Deskphones for IP Office solutions until the needs of our SME market are satisfied."
